Crescendo 34 Harp by Dusty Strings

We received our first Crescendo just in time for Harp Journeys. I (Mary) was able to perform on it, and literally everybody in the audience was impressed, amazed and delighted at the tone. I was especially happy with this harp because the bass strings withstand my hard playing without buzzing. I really am fond of the look of the Crescendo 34; the wood and the shape I find very appealing. I understand Sapele wood is more environmentally conscientious than mahogany, yet produces (to my ears) exceptional tone. It is not as bright and projective as the FH36 series, but to me it is quite adequate for my performance standards. I like the spacing, too - I have a habit of buzzing, and on this harp I don't buzz as much!

The Crescendo 34 is an ideal blend of affordability, portability and depth of sound in a 4 ¾-octave range. With solid sapele wood neck, back and sides and a laminated birch soundboard (like the popular Allegro 26), the Crescendo 34 has a clean, bright sound with a deep, resonant bass.

This harp is the same overall size as its 32-string predecessor, but now goes down to the low C in the bass. For playing comfort, we've added facets on the upper corners of the back. This clever "hybrid-stave" design provides the ergonomic benefits of our popular 36-string stave back harp at a portion of the cost.

To keep the carrying size to a minimum while giving maximum flexibility of playing height, the Crescendo 34 includes an innovative removable stand. It has 5-inch removable legs and nestles into the base of the harp, attaching in seconds with the twist of a knob and without turning the harp upside down. 8-inch legs are an option for those who prefer more height. For those who like a lower height, the harp balances beautifully on the ground without the stand.

The Crescendo 34 delivers a great combination of range, performance and value in an elegant and easy-to-manage harp.

Padded CC34 case is optional.
