The Allegro is patterned after the FH26 in size, range and feel. Sides, back, neck, and pillar: solid sapele. Soundboard: Finland birch plywood. All aspects of joinery and finishing show Dusty String's characteristic attention to detail and quality. Like the FH26, the Allegro has the volume and tonal quality one would expect of a much larger harp. The response is even and bright and it performs equally well under a light or strong hand. With 26 strings, this harp is conveniently portable yet provides enough range to serve as an excellent teaching and learning instrument. The Allegro represents a fine value in a portable and remarkable-sounding harp. The set of four detachable legs of turned Honduras mahogany is included. A padded case is optional. Many teachers purchase the Allegro as a rental harp.
