SKU: 61803 A well thought out book, for those who play wire harp and have no teacher (a common situation). Intended for newcomers to the wire strung harp, or any harp that is long-ringing. Can be used by beginning musicians who read treble clef. It is also a good reference book for advanced harpists who are new to strings that need to be dampened. Written for harps with 15 strings or more ranging from G below middle C to the second G above. 73 pages in length, consisting of a variety of well-known folk tunes from Scotland, America, France, and more. Each tune is presented twice, first with fingerings, dampings, chords, and a graph for fixed hand position (all these are explained in the book). Second rendition is bare bones, and consists only of the musical notation. A history of the tunes is provided in most cases. In the back of the book there is a series of drills, one for each tune to help you with the technical concept of that tune. You will really appreciate these pages! Table of Contents: Price: $24.00 |
