We have a reputation for fast, friendly service, and we work hard to keep it! We will ship on the same day we receive your order or the next business day for in stock items. Online (web site) orders are processed during regular business hours (see below). Harp orders usually require an extra two days if a box needs to be built.
Ordering By Phone
We love talking to our customers! Please have your credit card number ready, even if you have ordered from us previously. We do not keep that information in our computers for reasons of security. It’s also a big help to us if you have the part numbers of the items you are ordering.
Ordering By Mail or Fax
Use an order form from the catalog, or a photocopy or other close approximation. Fill out the form, including part numbers and credit card information (unless paying by check written in US funds drawn from a US bank). Texas residents add 7.25% sales tax. If you don't have a form, just include the title, part number and quantity with credit card information. Mail to:

Ordering Online
Our web site provides you with an “electronic shopping cart” for your ordering convenience. As you browse through our store, add items to your cart by clicking Buy Now! or Add to Cart. When you are finished adding items to your cart, click the Checkout button You then provide your customer information, delivery information, and payment information. After you confirm your order, it will then be transmitted to us. We use highly secure order processing to ensure the privacy of the information you submit.
Payment Methods
Melody's accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover/Novus, and American Express, as well as money orders and personal checks in US funds drawn on a US bank. We are not able to provide customers with financing or similar payment plans.
The prices in our printed catalog are subject to change.
Shipping
Shipping rates on phone and mail orders are based on the total weight of your order as displayed on the shipping section of the checkout process.
If you order online, you are given several choices on shipping from media mail to UPS. Please remember that media mail, which is the most economical, is restricted to Books, CDs, Tapes, and other printed material
. For orders over $200, we will need to determine the shipping charge on a case by case basis.
Large or Heavy Items: Harps, music stands, stools, dollies, and thick books have a special shipping charge which is displayed under the description of the item. If no shipping charge is displayed, you will be contacted with the charge based on item, destination and service options.
Shipping Method: We usually ship via First Class Mail or Priority Mail. If your package is fairly heavy or has sufficient value, we use UPS. Large lever harps may be sent via FedEx. Heavier items may be sent via freight carrier. We select the shipping method that is the most reliable for the lowest cost. We must have your street address or RR# to ship UPS, not a post office box number.
Need it Fast? We can ship your order to you via Overnight, 2-Day, or 3-Day delivery for an extra charge. Our preferred methods for overnight shipping are UPS and FedEx. We ask that you place your overnight order prior to 1 PM or earlier, giving us enough time to pack it properly.
International Orders: If this is an international order (outside the Continental USA) you are given the choice of First Class International, Priority International, and Express Mail International. Please note that First Class Mail International is not trackable or traceable. If you wish your shipment to be insured, please let us know in the Comments for your order and we will get back to you with an updated total as soon as possible via the e-mail address provided to us. On web orders, International Shipping Rates are an estimate only and subject to correction. If there is a discrepancy between the quoted shipping and actual shipping charge, you will be contacted for authorization on the additional charge before the order is completed.
Please note: Due to Internet fraud concerns, we do not ship to Nigeria or Indonesia.
Aplogies to our Italian friends but we have suspended shipments of orders to Italy due to a high percentage of lost shipments with the Italian Postal Service.
Back Orders
In the event that we are out of stock on a particular item, we will put that item on back order and mail it to you just as soon as we get more in stock. Depending on the item, this may take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. We will not charge your credit card for the back ordered item until it actually ships. Please be aware that the customer is responsible for additional shipping charges on all back orders. If you are ordering by mail and do NOT want us to backorder, please indicate this on your order form.
Returns and Exchanges
If you are not satisfied with an item, you may return the item within 30 days of your purchase in new condition. We will gladly exchange the item for another, or issue you a refund, based on the purchase price of the item returned. You are responsible for return postage. Opened CDs, videos or DVDs will only be accepted on return if found to be defective. Due to the copyright nature of recorded and printed media, Melody's reverves the right to limit the number of returns from an individual. If in doubt, call for an authorization. We do not condone the practice of ordering something, making a copy and returning the original for a refund, as we represent many artists who make their living by selling their products.
