Lullaby Collection, arranged by Angi Bemiss

Angi tells us this book began as a medley of two of her favorite lullabies, which she plays at the neo-natal intensive care unit at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. To her, this department is sacred. Angi says, too, that the chord progresion for the Pachelbel Canon is very relaxing for her, so this book contains introductions, bridges, and codas with that progression. The arrangements are straightforward, and chords are provided for you to make any changes you wish. Titles are:

1. Grand March from “Norma” – V. Bellini (1801-1835) – F major

This album of A. Francis Pinto’s pieces has been computer-engraved and reissued to enable harpists to enjoy playing and performing them again. They were originally published between 1917- 27. Some of the original arrangements available to us were difficult to read. The original publishers printed the pieces with scant pedal markings but with profuse dynamic markings that we no longer use or recognize today. Included is a companion CD  performed by Gail R. Lyons of Syracuse, NY.

Howard Blake composed this number for the 1982 animated film "The Snowman". This is a multi-tasker, with different solo versions, a harp duet, and lead sheet with lyrics and melody.  Harp One of the duet can be played on lever harp, Harp Two is more suitable for pedal harp. The melody line could easily be picked up by a vocalist, or played on violin or flute for still other variations. Has harmonics and accidentals, except for the simplified harp solo. Original composition by Mr. Voltz in A minor for pedal or lever harp.  It has the musical quality of movie theme music, kind of like a love song but with a more relaxed feeling.  It can be played for any occasion ind is easily accessible for the beginner/intermediate harpist.  There are four measures of 16th notes that may be challenging to a beginner, but otherwise, not difficult.  There are five  glissandos, and only 2 accidentals.  Page turns are easy.

This is the famous Beethoven piece that will either enchant your audience or make them groan (if they're  piano teachers.) This solo piece contains techniques such as: accidentals, grace notes, left hand cross overs and more.  It is perfect to practice playing rhythmically and musically.  Intermediate Pedal Harp.
