Savior Medley (Christmas #6): Angi Bemiss

Straightforward and easily playable arrangements of favorite Christmas songs: Savior's Lullaby, Come As a Child, Peace Has Come Down Tonight, Mary Did You Know and My Soul Will Magnify the Lord. Lyrics are included, and the songs are presented in both the keys of C and Eb.  You receive both keys.  Lever changes and accidentals are minimal.

Carol of the Bells/We Wish You a Merry Christmas

For lever or pedal harp, here is an upper intermediate arrangement of Carol of the Bells in Am with double harmonics, lever and/or pedal changes. A nice arrangement, full sounding and moving. We Wish You has a moving left hand and it's in the key of F which is pretty easy to sing. It's a good and interesting arrangement that may take some a tad of practice, but worth it.

A Child is Born: Thad Jones/Grix

A Child is Born, arranged for pedal harp.  Music by Thad Jones  (1923-1986). 2 flats with a modulation to 7 flats.  Contains a fair amount of pedal changes.  Beautiful soulful melody. Hear Christa Grix perform the piece - please feel free to listen and share the link below.

Christmas Gifts by Jo Morrison

Our customers have always enjoyed Jo's straightforward arrangements for ease of playing.  This book contains, for most of the titles, easy and regular versions.  The easy versions don't necessarily have less notes, but in some cases the LH rhythm is simplified. There are bagpipe parts, scores for melody instrument, and additional information and resources.  All in all, a very useful book for Christmas performances.

 Tunes included are:

Winter Wonders: Cindy Kleinstuber

50 pages of very playable arrangements. Pieces are: Angels From the Realms of Glory, Angels We Have Heard on High, Bring A Torch, Jeannette, Isabella, Deck the Hall, Ding Dong!

Deck the Hall: Frank Voltz

This arrangement is accessible for both pedal and lever harpists. In the key of G, uses drop-2 voicing, includes lots of jazz chords, explores the entire range of the harp, and ends with a flashy gliss. A real audience pleaser! Intermediate.

Away in a Manger: Frank Voltz (new version)

Frank published the original version of Away in a Manger in 2001.  He has rearranged it and included more jazz chords, changed the key to D major so it can be played on lever harps tuned in C and Eb, created a new introduction, embellished the existing arrangement, and created a new more Frank ending.

Carols from Around the World v2: Ray Pool

THe Huron Carol - Canada; Good Christian Men Rejoice, O Christmas Tree-  Germany; Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle - Italy, The Sleep of the Infant Jesus, Bring a Torch Jeannette Isabelle, March of the Three Kings, Pat-a-pan - France; The Icy December - Spain.

These arrangements are playable on both lever and/or pedal harp. There are very few harmonic adjustments, but all are indicated according to the standards of both types of harp.

Six Noels: Tournier

Intermediate to upper intermediate level and for pedal harp.  Full compositions with large chords, accidentals, many in flat keys.  Requires good technique and a good foundation in classical harp training.  Challenging and interesting recital pieces by a master of the French method.
