Marcel Grandjany The Teacher DVD

The hands of Grandjany are captured in this video. We see and hear the main aspects of his method through demonstration of his finger exercises and their application to the repertoire. It is derived from 9 home videos that were made in 1973o when Grandjany was over 80 year of age. Because of almost 20 years’ deterioration, extensive editing was required to salvage any of the footage. The editors were Catherine Gotthoffer and David Ice, (a member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors,  and for 6 years sound editor of the TV series Mash.)
