Wonderful music to add to your repertoire.  Early music like this always adds a special ambiance to background music, and also to performance. Another collection of fine historical music edited by Ellen Tepper.  This collection consists of 17th C Lute music by Nicolas Vallet.  Designed to be played as a suite and composed early in the 1600's as dance music.  Little is known of the composer, except that he was French by birth, and lived in exile in Amsterdam as did many French protestants (Huguenots).  He taught lute and ran a dancing school.

Titles in this lovely collection:

Prelude, Branle d'Irlande, Onder de Lindegröne, Mal Simmes Bal Anglois, Packingtons Pound, and Loath to Depart.  All of these pieces are presented firstly as a suite for lever harp, and then again for pedal harp, so each title is in the collection twice.

Edits are beautiful with some fingerings, lever changes with diamond shape notes, and dynamics.  There are a significant amount of both lever changes and pedal changes.  Pedal changes are also marked.

Contains witty illustrations by Tepper, as well!  Page 21 is a favorite!
