After being invited to help celebrate and event at the UT Benson Center for Latin American Studies, the UT Harp Ensemble searched for Latin American harp ensemble repertoire. Delaine Fedson and Megan Spezeski's arrangements of Jobim's Girl from Ipanema and One Note Samba are an outgrowth of that effort. These arrangements were also used successfully at the UT Longhorn Music Camp. One Note Samba is for pedal harp trio and in the Key of Bb. The repeated F's and Bb's are played enharmonically, rendering technique and notes easy, while rhythm is a bit more challenging. This has turned into a great piece for teaching syncopation. Each of the three parts is equal in difficulty and each part is two pages long; the score is four pages. Any of these parts could be played on a petite pedal harp. INTERMEDIATE PEDAL HARP
