Solo Harp or Harp Ensemble

This arrangement was developed for the Prairie Wind Harp Ensemble in Salina,
Kansas.  It is hoped that the versatility of this arrangement  with regard to playing level will
encourage more harpers to play in ensemble, or with another solo instrument. INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED, ALL HARPS.

Harp 1 (or vocal) can also be played by a C instrument; flute would play the notes
an octave higher than written on this score. If played on harp, it works well for
including beginner level players, and it can be played on a small harp. A guitarist can
join the group using this part.
Harp 2 is playable on a 26-string harp with no levers.
Harp 3 is playable as a solo piece; it is an optional addition for harp ensemble, or it
may be used instead of the Harp 2 part.
Harp 4 adds the arpeggiated chords; if an ensemble plays this arrangement twice, the
person(s) playing Harp 4 could play the Harp 3, first time, and move to Harp 4 for the
repeat .

Other performance possibilities:
Harp 1 (as vocal or instrumental) and Harp 2 can work as a pleasing duet.
Harp 1 (as vocal or instrumental) and Harp 3 are a great pair.
Harp 1 (as vocal or instrumental) and Harp 4 blend well together.
